Lake-Sumter Community College Lake-Sumter Community College (LSCC) was established in 1962 by a group of inspired citizens to provide the opportunity for Lake and Sumter County students to receive an advanced education. Since then, we have grown into a three-campus institution serving over 7500 students annually. Our Leesburg, South Lake (Clermont) and Sumter (Sumterville) campuses have become viable assets in their communities.  A Great Education Close To Home is more than our slogan, it is our mission.
Miami Dade College
Miami Dade College Miami Dade was created with the idea that anyone with a desire to get a college degree should be given that opportunity. Miami Dade first opened its doors in the 1960s, amidst the strain of desegregation and the influx of thousands of Cuban refugees.  Today MDC is the largest and most diverse college in the nation. With eight campuses and over 167,000 students from across the world, the College offers over 300 programs of study and several degree options, including vocational, associate, and baccalaureate degrees. MDC features numerous Community Education classes, online credit classes through the Virtual College, the New World School of the Art, The Honors College and Dual Enrollment.
